Our Story
It all began with two friends, looking for a little extra income and something nice to do for the community. Sherry and Sharon started out with a golf cart and a dream and a handful of clients at the Maple Hill Cemetery in Hibbing. During the summer break they would often bring along their children, teaching them the art of caring, and making many happy memories along the way. It was a good little business for the two friends and their families.

Our Chapter
As time went on, people came and went and in 2015, Sharon passed the business on to her son Joe and for the next 8 years he ran the company diligently. Five years later, in the summer of 2020, he hired Zach and Isaiah, two brothers with their own years of experience in grounds keeping and care taking. And a year after that...our biggest change yet, another perpetual care company decided to move on to other ventures and we absorbed their clients, doubling the size of the company. With the added amount of work and a growing family of his own, Joe decided it was time to move on to another chapter in his life and chose Zach and Isaiah as his successors.

After 3 years of learning the ins and outs of the business, Perpetual Care was sold to the Saccoman family with Zach and Isaiah as its operators, officially becoming Perpetual Care of Minnesota. Upon taking ownership of the company, the decision was made to move to a new greenhouse that granted access to more space and improved soil. Since then, we’ve taken an active role in community restoration and beautification projects at various cemeteries across the Iron Range. Over the past two seasons, we’ve partnered with Beyond the Yellow Ribbon, U.S. Steel, and the Army National Guard in helping us bring many of these projects to fruition.
And as they say, the rest is history. We now serve over 400 families and their loved ones across the Iron Range and continue to learn and grow as we do. Now we're looking forward to many more fruitful years ahead!
